    Hi, I have 2 problems.

    1. Can I invite members to a group without becoming friend and acceptance?

The problem is there are likely 500 new members, and I don't want to add friend with them one by one to invite to a group.

It's private group only admin can make an invitation.

    2. Can I nest a group in another group?

For example, A rank member can view A to C rank group. B rank member can view B to C rank group.

So, I want to create A group inside C and B group.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello,

Thanks for your patience here, much appreciated.

Both features here are managed by BuddyPress and Woffice won't have any impact but as far as I know:

    1. Yes, that should be possible from the Group Settings and the proper group permission. You can deactivate the Friends component if it's causing you any issue.

    2. No, BuddyPress won't have any default feature to manage this. However, it can be "easily" done with a homemade plugin. You'd need a PHP developer to achieve this though. But the steps are doable: add a new group option (or just the meta) attached to the group. Then, have a small script to redirect to a 404 if the user is not part of the roles attached to the group.

Also, they have some helpful docs here: https://buddypress.org/about/groups/

    Kind Regards,

    François

I deactivated the friends component from BuddyPress's setting

The front page says "All of your friends already belong to this group." and the "send invites" button disappeared.

I'm using the Japanese version so I'm not sure a right word,

In the back page, Add new member section always look like the screenshot.

    Is this collapsed?

    Hi Ploy,

    >> In the back page, Add new member section always look like the screenshot.

Add new member should have a field like this:

    Hi Ploy,

Thanks for writing back! I've seen the issue on your site's backend. Normally, these kind of issues occur due to a plugin conflict. You can try by deactivating all the third party plugins on your site. If the problem is fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused it, and you can narrow down to the conflicting plugin by reactivating them one at a time.

    Best Regards,
    Imran.
