    Hello.

I want to translate the language of my site to Japanese.

My language setting is Japanese, but it doesn’t switch all of my site.

    Now I translate them manually.

What should I do to switch the site language.

Some categories are available to change language manually on my admin page. But there are areas I can’t change texts.

    Hello,

Thank you for using our item. Since Woffice already comes with a Japanese translation, you should make sure to switch your WordPress default language to Japanese at: WordPress Dashboard > Settings > General Settings > Site Language. Please let me know if it helps. Have a nice day.

    Kind Regards,

    Marcos

    Hello jiro123,

I am sorry for the long waiting and the misunderstanding. It happens because doesn't exist a Japanese translation of the theme. You can translate it using an external software (Poedit), or a plugin installed on your site (Loco Translate).

If you need more details you can read this article: https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-translate-a-wordpress-theme/

If you have still doubt, let me know

    Best Regards,
    Antonio.

    Hello,Antonio.

    Thank you.

    Hello jiro123,

My bad, I apologize I was sure that the Japanese translation of the theme wasn't present.

So yes, you can use it, but you have to update the files (via the plugin settings) and then integrate the missing translations. The file is very old and we added many strings so there are a lot of strings not translated yet.

    Best Regards,
    Antonio.

My site has got translated by adding Loco Translate plugin.

    The menu area is fixed(picutre1).

I understand Japanese translating is unfinished.

I try to do by myself.

    Then,

How can I change the words in the area of  a screenshot(picutre2).

I can’t find in Loco Translate.

    Hello,

    Good job

Regarding the remaining, they're all managed by BuddyPress and not Woffice.

They do have a complete article here which explains everything step by step: https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/customizing/customizing-labels-messages-and-urls/

I think Loco translate can probably help as well, you just need to look into BuddyPress translation file and not the Woffice one because you won't find those.

    Have a great weekend.

    Kind Regards,

    François

    Hello jiro123,

I've checked all the strings in the code and all of them look well, you should be able to translate them from the Woffice language files without problem, as you did for other strings. Please be sure that you have updated the files.

If you are not able to sort it out, please provide me a WP and an FTP access, so that I can have a closer look.

IMPORTANT: Remember to send your credentials in a private reply.

    Best Regards,
    Antonio.

    Hello Jiro123,

Thank you so much for your help. I've just checked your site and I saw that your translation files aren't completed:

    This is the Woffice file:

And this is the BuddyPress file:

So not all the strings are translated.

In addition, about the strings of the first screenshot, I don't understand what is the problem because I can see them already in Japanese.

    Best Regards,
    Antonio.

    Hello jiro123,

At the current moment the only way is to edit the source, but it is the better way. I'll improve the string in the next version, so that you will be able to translate it from Loco Translate easily

    Best Regards,
    Antonio.

  • jiro123 replied

    Hello jiro123,

You can translate the social buttons just from the Woffice language file.

For the BuddyPress emails instead, you can find them here:

    Best Regards,
    Antonio.

  • jiro123 replied

    Hello,

The emails issue has been resolved .Thank you.

On the other hand,I can't find the social buttons' source text.

I used  "Loco Translate" and "poedit".But they were nowhere.

Do you have other ways? I can edit orignal php files a little.
